How can we work together? Creating collaboration between scientists, engineers and social scientists in synthetic biology

This workshop forms the social science strand of the SynBioNT network meeting. The theme will be on how we can create multidisciplinary collaboration between bioscientists, engineers, social scientists and others working on ethics/ public engagement. In order to address these challenges, the workshop will be organised around three activities: 1) A open discussion with biological and computers scientists and engineers about what they (and we) hope to get out of working together; 2) Updating each other about current collaborations, research and engagement activities; 3) A themed set of papers on the conceptual, normative and practical issues raised by creating collaborations in synthetic biology.
