Dr Shu's current research activities explore the new possibilities enabled by MEMS and Nanotechnology and the interfaces with life sciences. His research interests and ongoing work include the following areas: * Microcantilever sensor array: biosensors, chemical/gas/explosive sensors, tactile microsensors. * Micro/nano-fluidics: integrated microfluidic systems for synthetic biology, cell culture and high-throughput drug screening; sensor integrated microfluidic devices. * Microbiomechanics: cell mechanics, mechanotransduction.
